Title Sequences

During class we analysed the idea and effect of the importance of the credits in title sequences. To do this we watched two individual title sequences and noted down the order, names and position of those involved. I analysed 'Buried' and 'Alien'. I found that Buried was of a shorter duration but had a title every 3 seconds and had about 25 titles, whereas Alien, being an older movie, had a longer duration sequence but with less titles, each appearing every 7 seconds approximately and only had about 15 titles. Shown below is one of the titles from Alien. We also discussed the idea that American movies had more money then British Films as British films have multiple production companies funding them.
