Analysis of '88 Minutes'.

88 Minutes is a crime thriller starring Al Pacino. From the poster we can tell that Al Pacino is the main character as he is the main focus, the only person in the poster and is in the foreground. We can tell that is a crime thriller as Al Pacino is carrying a gun and because of the explosions in the background. Because of the scope on Al Pacino we can tell that his life is the one in danger and due to the movie title, we can assume that Al Pacino's life is in danger and he has only got 88 minutes to live. The writing on the poster confirms what the rest of the poster shows and tells us that AL Pacino is solving his own planned murder. The main colour in the poster is the fire and explosion behind Al Pacino, highlighting the lack of colour on Al Pacino insinuating that he is of a serious character. The explosions show that there will be action and violence. His facial expression shows the he is looking away, not directly at the camera showing that he could be under surveillance as he looks paranoid. The scope is directly over the heart, showing that if the person behind the gun were to pull the trigger then he would not survive as it is a precise shot intended to kill. The scope itself tells us that he is not the bad guy. He looks slightly dishevelled like he has not been able to sleep. His clothes themselves are quite basic, an all black suit. The darkness of his outfit and the solemn look on his face suggests that he is planning to do what it takes to save his own life. The target audience would be 15- 25 it appeals to men more than women because of the action shown from the explosions and the gun. It looks like an action movie with lots of adrenaline fuelled excitement.
